Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for an Echocardiology clinic, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and 1+ years of cardiac sonography experience.
Details
- Work in an accredited Echo Lab within a Heart and Vascular Institute, supporting outpatients, off-campus sites, and inpatients
- Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Epic EMR used
- Occasional travel to other Heart and Vascular Institute sites required
Requirements
- Current RDCS or RCS certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Echocardiography program required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and EKG rhythms
- Experience with IV insertion for administration of ultrasound imaging enhancement agents and bubble studies
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Work closely with cardiologists in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound testing including m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, and strain imaging
- Conduct bubble studies and contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms
- Perform exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms
- Provide imaging support for structural heart procedures
- Assist cardiologists with 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms
- Khaki scrubs required
- Local candidates accepted within a 35-mile radius at a reduced rate
- Candidates with prior work history at this health system, Maple Grove Hospital, or Blaze Health LLC must list this on their resume
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
