Production Worker / Assembler

This role involves assembling medical stools and other medical chairs using hand and power tools in a clean, well-organized production environment. You will work with a variety of materials, follow detailed work instructions, and ensure that each product meets quality and tolerance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical stools and medical chairs using hand tools and power tools in accordance with production standards.
• Fit, align, and secure parts to required tolerances to ensure consistent product quality.
• Work with wood, foam, rubber, vinyl, and related materials during the assembly process.
• Read and follow written work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to build products accurately.
• Glue foam to substrates using a spray gun, depending on departmental assignment.
• Use measuring tools, such as tape measures, to verify dimensions and ensure proper fit of components.
• Operate basic production equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Lift, move, and position units that may be on the floor, including bending, twisting, and carrying components up to 50 lbs.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with materials, tools, or work instructions to maintain smooth production flow.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of recent mechanical assembly experience, or related experience in construction, home remodeling, or auto mechanics.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or mechanical environment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and, where applicable, blueprints or mechanical drawings.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of how parts fit and align to meet tolerance requirements.
• Ability to use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools accurately.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks that involve bending, twisting, and working with units positioned on the floor.
• Comfort working with materials such as wood, foam, rubber, and vinyl.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and meeting production expectations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Background in construction, home remodeling, or automotive repair as evidence of hands-on mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
• Experience using spray guns to apply adhesives or coatings.
• Ability to interpret basic blueprints or mechanical diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Work Environment

You will work primarily with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and, depending on assignment, spray guns and forklifts. The role is physically active, requiring regular lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, and working with units positioned on the floor. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
