Candidates must pass clinical review. Candidates must have high-risk experience. Candidates must have required certifications with submission. Candidates must circulate and provide newborn care, including assessments. Description: Local candidates will be considered at the same rate. Permanent candidates from any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high-acuity and fast-paced environment. Highly prefers RNs with 5 years of high-risk experience but will consider candidates with 3 years or more experience with high-risk exposure. First-time travelers are accepted. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates must work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Float requirements include postpartum and antepartum. Candidates may float to facilities that provide mother/baby care. The unit handles midwifery clients, private obstetricians, and adult recovery services supporting substance recovery. Candidates must have experience with electronic fetal monitoring. Staffing will follow established guidelines. The unit has a high-risk and high-volume labor and delivery department and handles all types of deliveries. Candidates must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. During delivery, nurses must function as a baby nurse and continue care until the transfer to postpartum. Average daily census is 15, with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 rooms available. Candidates will schedule shifts every six weeks to meet unit needs. Patients include neonates, adolescents, infants, and geriatrics. Daily partnerships involve interdisciplinary support, including respiratory services and social services. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as required per assignment. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. If required for the assignment, providers will be supplied with necessary communication devices. The facility does not accept background hits for specific roles. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required. Candidates must respond to specific inquiries regarding previous employment with certain facilities.
