We're building the first mobile carrier people actually want to follow, with a platform that's genuinely different from anyone else.We're looking for a Social Media Manager who lives on the internet, understands why things get shared, and can turn "your phone plan" into something people screenshot and send to their group chat. This is a hands-on role — you're not managing a team, you're the one in the docs, in the comments, and in the edit, every day. You'll own the day-to-day voice of US Mobile across every channel, while also being fluent enough in the numbers to know whether what you posted actually moved the business.If you're the kind of person who reflexively drafts the perfect reply to a brand's Reddit thread before anyone asks you to — this is your job.What You'll DoBrand Voice and ContentOwn the day-to-day tone across TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, and YouTubePartner with content team to conceive, script, shoot, and edit social-first content, from quick-turn reactive posts to planned campaign contentBuild and manage the content calendar, balancing always-on posts with product launches, network news, and cultural momentsSpot trends and platform shifts early, and translate them into brand-relevant contentPartner with internal and external teams to keep messaging and brand experience consistent without sounding like a robotStrategy & PerformanceSet and report on social KPIs (e.g. follower growth, engagement, traffic, and downstream conversion/signups) and use them to shape what we make nextRun regular performance reporting and translate the data into specific "do more of this, kill that" recommendationsIdentify and act on opportunities to turn organic social moments into acquisition or retention winsKeep a pulse on competitors and the broader culture landscape to inform what US Mobile should be doing nextCommunity & Real-TimeManage community interactions and inbound engagement across channels, maintaining a distinct, human brand voice in every replyMonitor for and jump on real-time cultural and platform moments with a bias for speed over polishSurface user-generated content, fan moments, and community insight back into the content pipelineWhat We're Looking For3–5 years of hands-on social media experience at a brand, agency, or fast-moving startup — bonus points if you've grown an account from a cold startA portfolio or examples of content you personally created, wrote, or edited — not just campaigns you oversawComfort being both the creative and the analyst: you can shoot/edit a TikTok in the morning and defend a KPI dashboard in the afternoonExcellent, adaptable writing — you can shift tone across platforms without losing a consistent brand personalityA genuine, current relationship with the internet: you know why something is funny or shareable before it's explained to youBias for action — comfortable publishing and iterating in real time rather than waiting for a dozen rounds of approvalExperience with social analytics/listening toolsBenefits and PerksAnnual company offsite and hackathon in a global destination.
