Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience in ICU License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, and central line care/management - Ability to manage continuous IV sedation - Proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias - Experience with isolation precautions and management of dysrhythmias - Competent in caring for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Skills in suctioning and ventilator management - Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in ICU. The shift is three 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The nurse will float between various ICU units as required, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU. The nurse may also be asked to float to medical-surgical units when needed. Every other weekend is required, with a maximum of five days of requested time off, and no holiday requests are allowed. All nursing staff are required to float at the facility's discretion, which may include areas outside their primary competency. The clinical environment operates with a team-based care model to ensure appropriate support is available to all staff. Professional references must be provided from the most recent employers.
