Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of semi-skilled assembly operations to assemble small, medium, or large units or sub-assemblies to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements. Read and interpret drawings, charts, and diagrams. Assemble finished product to customer specifications and company policies. Position requires knowledge of multiple builds and must be able to work alone or on an assembly line as volume requires. Knowledge of all assemblies is required and operator needs to be proficient with inspection equipment such as dial indicators, micrometer, calipers, motor test equipment and sound testing.

Essential Responsibilities

• Check specifications to determine required assembly and ensure have adequate supplies for the particular build.
• Check tools and equipment for correct operation.
• Assemble a variety of subassemblies and complete units of varying weights, following blueprints, sketches and instructions. This may require the use of power and hand tools, gauges, small machines, assembly fixtures and test equipment.
• Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Work from assembly drawings and specifications.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Recognize defective or faulty workmanship and report issues to department lead.
• Maintain production and quality standards and identify equipment malfunctions.
• Perform a range of mechanical, electrical, strength and pressure tests and make final adjustments.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly (5s standard).
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure personal safety as well as safety of co-workers.
• When limited/no work in area, may provide assistance to other departments as needed.
• Help evaluate processes to improve product flow.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately
• Knowledge of all assemblies and capable of efficiently producing assemblies on a number of individual benches or progressive assembly lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have held an Assembler B position in the last three years for at least 6 months.
• High School Diploma or GED and minimum 1 year prior assembly experience
• Ability to perform to verbal instructions, as well as read/write English and interpret all assembly documents including but not limited to: bills of material, blueprints, test information.
• Ability to use power and hand tools, gauges, testing devices and small machines to assemble components to specifications and test.
• Ability to work from detailed instructions and the making of minor decisions involving the use of some judgment.
• Solid basic math skills (addition and subtraction of decimals and fractions).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to accurately record daily production.
• Requires some degree of skill and precision assembling techniques.
• Ability to work in a team environment, and to instruct, directs one or two others on a limited basis.

Physical Requirements

Lifting up to a maximum of 35 lbs. Occasional bending and lifting at the knees. Twisting frequently at waist and shoulder levels. Standing continuously. Frequent reaching out in front of body. Sustained physical effort. Capable of wearing safety glasses with permanent side shields at all times. Capable of wearing steel-toed safety shoes at all times. Capable of wearing other PPE as required. Work may be repetitive in nature. Continuous mental/visual attention. Visual acuity to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure meet specifications. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform assembly work.

Typical manufacturing setting with moveable, mechanical parts and/or equipment.

In addition to normal manufacturing shop elements regarding temperatures (no air conditioning so warmer in summer months and cooler in winter months), dust, and noise levels (within required limits), working conditions may be somewhat disagreeable due to frequency of vibration (due to volume of parts) and exposure to higher than normal dust levels.
