Special Education Case Manager – Early Childhood

Position Type: Contract / Temporary
Schedule: Full-Time
Hours: 32.5 hours per week

End Date: May 27, 2027

Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Special Education Case Manager to support an Early Childhood special education program in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children with disabilities and be knowledgeable in special education programming, IEP development, and compliance requirements.

This position will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers to support students' educational needs and ensure effective implementation of individualized services.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate special education services for assigned students
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings with families and educational staff
Monitor student progress and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Support the implementation of appropriate accommodations, modifications, and specialized instruction
Ensure special education services are provided in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements
Support an inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environment
Maintain accurate and timely special education records and documentation

Qualifications

Master's Degree preferred/required
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Special Education PreK–Age 22 endorsement
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Special Education
Previous experience working in Early Childhood Special Education required
Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers
