Forklift Material Handler - Granite & Stone Countertop Shop

Interior Logic Group is seeking a Fork lift Material Handler to support operations in our Granite & Stone Countertop Shop . This role is responsible for the safe handling, movement, and organization of large stone slabs, granite, quartz, and other solid surface materials . The Material Handler will work closely with saw operators, fabricators, and installers to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency in the shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely handle, move, and transport stone slabs using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and storage racks while ensuring slabs are properly secured to prevent damage.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for cracks, defects, or inconsistencies.
• Organize and stage materials for cutting, fabrication, and installation based on work orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Assist in inventory management, tracking material usage and reporting discrepancies.
• Work collaboratively with saw operators, fabricators, and shop supervisors to meet production schedules.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspections on material handling equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or stone fabrication preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience required (certification preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to safely lift 50-75 lbs and work with heavy materials .
• Familiarity with granite, quartz, and natural stone materials is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety protocols and best practices in material handling.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented production environment.
