Junior Database Developer

Arcadis is seeking a Junior Database Developer to assist Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers with tasks associated with water infrastructure project work. This role offers flexibility and can be based out of any Arcadis office across the United States.

As part of our data management and GIS team, you'll work across multiple teams to provide GIS and digital solution support to projects with water utility clients. Projects focus on data management solution implementation and database development.

Role accountabilities:

• Work with senior database developers to implement data management solutions for project teams and clients by utilizing code to automate solutions.
• Perform data analysis, build database objects, produce documentation communicating findings and recommendations, and build out knowledge of database development and programming.
• Experience with or willingness to learn the ESRI suite of desktop, web, and mobile tools and technologies is a plus for this position. Experience with data analysis or database development is also a plus.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably STEM related
• 2 Years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Office 365 suite of tools
• Experience working with GIS based solutions
• Experience developing GIS or data management solutions
• Solid foundational knowledge of SQL, Python, or R
• Excellent problem solver
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to work independently to develop solutions to problems using relevant technologies
• Ability to work on a team of people with a variety of backgrounds and expertise

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $100,000/year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
