This position involves providing direct nursing care to general surgical adult patients, including managing patient care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and coordinating discharge planning. Job Details Position Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans, assesses, and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Clinical Environment: This department is a 28-unit unit serving the general surgical adult population with telemetry capability. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. Supported by Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and a healthcare unit coordinator. Virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs are utilized for telemetry patients. Required Qualifications: License/Nursys License, Driver's License/State ID, Professional Profile, 2 Professional References, Resume, Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor, Years of Experience: 1 year, Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, Start Date: 09/20/2026, End Date: 12/19/2026. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Travelers may be scheduled up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period and holidays if needed.
