IF this sounds like the type of team and environment you want to be a part of Position Summary Responsible for providing administrative support to designated physicians, including answering telephones, performing registration duties, scheduling appointments, and updating patient accounts. Locations: Geneva and Elgin, Illinois (must be able to travel between locations) Status: Full-Time (40 Hours/week) Hours: Monday - Friday, including rotating evenings and rotating weekends Starting Pay Range: $20 - $22/Hour Essential Job Functions Greet and direct patients. Answer telephone callas and assist or direct callers as appropriate. Perform registration ensuring timely and accurate completion of documentation. Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and/or tests and assisting in obtaining necessary referrals. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Facilitate internal communication regarding physician schedule changes and issues pertaining to patient care. Obtains accurate patient information when answering and returning telephone calls. Transfers calls and/or patient cases to the appropriate departments. Checks patients in using both electronic tools and paper forms to ensure all necessary patient information and documents are obtained, including insurance card/information, patient identification, physician and insurance referrals, and personal/work injury/third party information as necessary. Facilitates the scheduling and registration of Urgent Care (unscheduled) patients. Collects and processes payments keeping an accurate record of payments received. Performs other duties, as assigned. Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment TB and drug testing.
