About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM) Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location; 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active Massachusetts RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to multiple units Description: Float throughout the hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips. Telemetry monitoring includes measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours. Experience with TR Band is required. Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 at night. Care will be provided for emergency department border patients, medication nurses in the acute mental health unit, and non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. The facility has a bed count of 371, and unit sizes range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation will include days and evenings with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract. The charting system used is EPIC.
