Termite Technician

What do our Termite Technicians do? Termite Technicians protect customers’ properties from wood-destroying organisms. You are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services you provide create peace of mind and comfort for customers. Responsibilities Identify customer termite problems and knowledge of termite behaviors to determine remedial steps. Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices. Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions. Communicate critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications that may accompany the treatment process. Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order. Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment. Complete production forms documenting services provided. Interact with customers and explain services provided. Essential Job Functions Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and dusty locations. Prepare the job site for treatment. Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb on structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders. Work up to 20 feet on a ladder and in small confined spaces. General laborer skills in carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic work are a plus. Ability to work on roofs and in high areas. Lots of movement—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator, and work in confined spaces or narrow passageways where pests live. What you need Clean-shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal the face). High school diploma or GED. Must pass pre-employment background screen. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (company vehicle and gas card provided). At least 1 year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is a plus. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Flexible with working hours, Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed. Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us). Basic math skills—ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
