Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems in Wilmington, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate access records. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals according to facility requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, perimeter areas, and restricted locations within a chemical and petrochemical environment; report unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, access-control issues, and inspections in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
