Role Description
VetsEZ is currently looking for a Senior .NET Developer for a 100% remote position supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable .NET-based APIs that power an Azure integration platform connecting CRM applications with enterprise backend databases.
- Collaborate with architects, frontend developers, backend data teams, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality API solutions.
- Support the modernization of existing .NET Framework services to .NET Core.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience building RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Web API.
- Implementing secure authentication mechanisms.
- Delivering enterprise-grade integrations through Agile development practices.
- Experience with Azure cloud services and AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
- Must reside within the continental US.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, with 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
- Advanced experience developing RESTful APIs using C#, ASP.NET Web API, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
- Strong experience implementing secure authentication and authorization using OAuth, JWT, or similar identity and access management protocols.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, API deployment, Azure API Management, and software testing methodologies within enterprise application environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and technical documentation abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working in Agile software development teams and cross-functional technical environments.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, Azure App Services, Azure API Management, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience migrating enterprise applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core or modern .NET platforms.
- Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), or other federal healthcare modernization programs.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
