Step into a meaningful role that empowers young learners by becoming an ASL Paraprofessional supporting an elementary-aged male student. This full-time contract opportunity offers 32 hours per week in a dynamic educational environment near Marysville, CA. You’ll work primarily in an engaging elementary school setting, providing one-on-one support to ensure the student’s academic and social growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Friendly, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- No EIPA certification required for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct ASL interpretation and communication support throughout the school day
- Facilitate classroom participation and engagement for the assigned student
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to tailor activities and accommodate learning needs
- Assist the student with transitions between activities and spaces
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere for social and educational growth
- Document progress and communicate regularly with the educational team
