Roku Management Consulting is seeking two (2) qualified Medical Records Technicians to support the Vermont Army National Guard's Medical Case Management and Care Coordination Services contract. The Medical Records Technicians serve as records custodians responsible for managing, processing, and maintaining Service Treatment Records (STRs) for approximately 8,400 Army National Guard Service Members annually. These positions are critical to ensuring medical readiness and regulatory compliance across the Vermont Army National Guard.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Serve as records custodian for Service Treatment Records, ensuring proper maintenance, organization, and accessibility

·       Process medical documentation for Periodic Health Assessments (PHAs) and Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) events

·       Respond to records requests from authorized personnel, commands, and external agencies in accordance with regulatory requirements

·       Maintain a minimum 95% record accessibility rate for all managed medical records

·       Manage approximately 8,400 medical records annually, ensuring accuracy and completeness

·       Validate Service Treatment Records for compliance with regulatory standards

·       Prepare and process records for transfers, separations, and retirements

·       Support Medical Readiness Events by ensuring records availability and real-time documentation processing

Required Qualifications

·       Demonstrated experience in medical records administration within a military or healthcare setting

·       Working knowledge of AR 40-66 (Medical Record Administration and Healthcare Documentation)

·       Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements and patient privacy regulations

·       Experience with Service Treatment Record (STR) validation and maintenance

·       Proficiency in electronic health record systems

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·       Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives

Work Schedule

 

Monday through Friday, 0800-1630. This position requires flexibility to support 15-18 Medical Readiness Events annually, which occur on weekends. Schedule adjustments may be coordinated to accommodate these requirements.

 

Security Requirements

·       Must be eligible to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

·       Must successfully complete a Tier 1 background investigation
