WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As an Health Technician, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

• Conducting health screening and surveillance activities by collecting and documenting medical information, administering or supporting screening procedures (e.g., spirometry), and following established protocols to support worker monitoring and health surveillance programs.
• Maintaining medical records and personally identifiable information by organizing, reviewing, archiving, and safeguarding health records while ensuring compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and records management requirements.
• Coordinating the collection, coding, validation, analysis, tracking, and reporting of medical and health-related data using established data management systems to support surveillance, research, and program operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

• Performing health assessments by collecting, reviewing, and documenting health-related information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintaining medical records and personally identifiable information (PII) by ensuring accurate recordkeeping and compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and records management requirements.
• Entering and validating data with attention to detail while supporting health surveillance, monitoring, or other health program activities using established procedures and systems.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.

Incentives may be authorized; however, this is contingent upon multiple factors, including funds availability .
