Dietary Cook

Dietary CookThis role will work 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., including weekends based on business needs, with a schedule of two to three shifts each week. We are very flexible on the schedule.As a Dietary Cook, you will:Prepare and cook meals according to written menus and recipesServe appropriate portions and ensure meals are ready at scheduled timesFollow patient-specific dietary requirements and approved substitutionsUse proper food safety, sanitation, and storage practicesMaintain a clean and organized kitchenClean cooking equipment, preparation areas, dish room, and dining areasWork closely with the Dietary team to make sure patients receive the correct mealsJump in and help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothlyWe are looking for someone who:Has previous cooking or food preparation experienceIs comfortable following recipes, menus, measurements, and portion guidelinesUnderstands the importance of food safety and sanitationIs dependable and able to consistently work the required weekend scheduleWorks well as part of a teamCan stay organized and keep meals on scheduleIs comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 poundsExperience in a hospital, senior living, skilled nursing, school, institutional kitchen, or other high-volume food service environment is a plus.If you're a dependable cook looking for a flexible opportunity where the work you do each day supports children and families, we'd like to hear from you.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
