Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational evaluations.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate objectives while addressing overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions with a focus on various aspects such as language, fluency, and swallowing.
  • Work in tandem with fellow professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop synchronized care plans.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families to bolster progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Engage in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as required, ensuring consistent care throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely records following state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Advance your expertise by participating in continuing education and collaborative peer engagement.
Education
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if currently unaccredited by ASHA.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
