Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Telephony & Communications Platform (AWS)

Role Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be embedded with a cross-functional team responsible for key portions of our systems. Your role will involve:

• Owning platform reliability, availability, and performance.
• Building AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation.
• Defining SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Leading incident response and continuous reliability improvements.
• Mentoring engineers and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software Engineering, Infrastructure, or Operations.
• 4+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience.
• Strong AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
• Expertise with Terraform, CI/CD, observability, automation, and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience supporting highly available, low-latency production systems.

Requirements

• Nice-to-Have:
• Amazon Connect, Twilio, SIP/RTP, or other VoIP platforms.
• Knowledge of voice quality metrics (MOS, jitter, packet loss).
• Experience with SOC 2, HIPAA, or FedRAMP environments.
• Azure or GCP exposure.
