Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Greendale Park Nursing & Rehab, a leading provider of healthcare services in Greendale, Wisconsin. About the Role:
As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you will be responsible for administering medications and treatments to our residents under the supervision of our licensed nursing staff. You will also monitor and report changes in resident condition, maintain accurate records, and interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our residents and their families, while your attention to detail and organizational abilities will ensure accurate and efficient medication management.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers
Monitor resident condition and report changes to licensed nursing staff
Maintain accurate and detailed records of medication administration and resident responses
Interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent care
Collaborate with licensed nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Ideal Candidate:
Possess a current CMA certification
Have a strong clinical background with experience in long-term care or acute care settings
Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Possess excellent observational and reporting skills
Be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
Be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
