Job Description

As a Security Officer Credential Control in Fort Myers, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Our Access Control Officers at a busy retail location help monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas, supporting a secure environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This role combines visible presence, routine access screening, and outstanding customer service and communication. At Allied Universal, you will join a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping address security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at the location.
Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
Monitor doors, gates, loading areas, and other access points to help support authorized access, report unusual activity, and document security-related events according to post procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Support retail location operations by providing directions, assisting with crowd and line management during busy periods, and reporting maintenance, traffic, and/or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
