Facility Overview:

We are seeking a Full-Time Neonatologist to join a highly respected Level III NICU team at a leading children's hospital in beautiful Macon, Georgia. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care within a state-of-the-art 70-bed Level III NICU.
• Manage critically ill and premature newborns requiring advanced neonatal therapies.
• Utilize advanced NICU technologies and therapies including:
  • High-frequency ventilation
  • Inhaled nitric oxide
  • Total body cooling
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, pediatric subspecialists, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists.
• Participate in an attractive rounding and shared call schedule.
• Deliver care within one of Georgia’s six designated perinatal/neonatal regional centers.
• Participate in teaching opportunities through an academic appointment with Mercer University.
• Focus solely on NICU responsibilities with no newborn nursery duties required.
• Support evidence-based neonatal care initiatives and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Completion of Neonatology fellowship training.
• Experience in Neonatology.
• Willingness to obtain a Georgia Medical License.
• Clean malpractice/license history preferred.
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days of application).
• DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine – Required.
• Georgia Medical License or willingness to obtain – Required.
• Fellowship training in Neonatology – Required.
• DEA Certification – Required prior to start.
