An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Registered Nurse seeking a contract role in a supportive educational environment. This full-time position is based near Avondale, AZ, with immediate start dates available through late May 2026. You will provide essential 1:1 medical support to a preschool student with a tracheostomy who requires regular aspiration. This role is crucial for maintaining the well-being and comfort of a student who is not yet toilet trained, offering a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in a young childs life.

Desired Qualifications

• Current, active Arizona RN license
• Valid IVP (Identity Verified Prints) Fingerprint Card
• Active CPR/BLS certification
• School nursing experience or experience in a pediatric setting preferred
• Direct experience managing trach care and aspiration
• Compassionate, reliable, and able to adapt to changing needs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with school staff and families

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care to a preschool student with a trach during school hours
• Monitor and manage tracheostomy care, including emergency aspiration if needed
• Assist with toileting and daily hygiene as the student is not yet toilet trained
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding students daily needs and any medical updates
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and monitoring
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in the students medical status
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for the student throughout the school day

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:13AM 2:44PM
• Every other Wednesday: 7:15AM 12:17PM (half-day schedule, rotating weekly)
