Ship OGRE is looking for competitive, driven, outgoing people to be part of our inside sales team. This is a true hunter role: you find new shipper customers, win their freight, and get paid on the margin you bring in. Previous sales or customer service experience is not required. Candidates new to sales are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Make a high volume of outbound cold calls to identify potential new customers and business opportunities.
• Use provided resources, tools, and prospect information to research and contact potential customers and learn each shipper’s lanes, equipment, volume, and pain points.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect information and activity within our CRM.
• Capture complete quote requests, price loads using OGRE’s pricing tools, negotiate rates, and win loads.
• Provide the Operations Team with clear and detailed call notes so they understand the opportunity.
• Consistently follow up with prospects and manage outreach activities in an organized manner.
• Learn and follow established sales, prospecting, and communication processes.
• Meet activity and lead-generation goals while maintaining quality interactions with prospects.
• Manage multiple priorities and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.

Normal working hours for this position are 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM CST, Monday - Friday.
