Retail Pharmacy Technician | Mckinney, Texas

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A local, full-time position is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician in a closed-door pharmacy setting. This role involves handling a high volume of prescriptions, primarily focused on behavioral health medications. The pharmacy operates separately but in partnership with a clinic, with no vaccines administered on-site.

Location: Plano, TX
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: November 23rd
Type: Contract-to-Hire, Local Only
Script Volume: 350-400 prescriptions per day
Software: Enterprise RX (training provided)

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions, working with behavioral health medications exclusively
Maintain high productivity while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
Collaborate with pharmacy and clinic staff to ensure smooth operations
Manage inventory and ensure proper documentation within the Enterprise RX system

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred; candidates with 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience will be considered
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
