Post Producer - Job Description Position Title: Post Producer FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: MS – Flex Reports to: Creative Resource Lead Effective Date: 9/25/2026 Job Summary The Post Production Producer is responsible for supporting post-production operations for a ASG client teams, serving as the bridge between editorial development and post coordination. This role oversees video development from brief and kickoff through final delivery while ensuring organized, on-schedule post-production workflows. Essential Functions: Partner with the team to build, maintain, and update post schedules across active projects, adjusting for shifting priorities, resourcing changes, review cycles, and delivery needs. Consult on post schedules, staffing plans, and timing assumptions to ensure producers and stakeholders have a realistic view of bandwidth, delivery paths, and schedule risks. Help develop videos editorially from transcript/paper edit to A-roll and through final delivery, working in close partnership with editors, producers, and cross-functional partners to shape story, pacing, structure, and clarity. Build creative treatments, paper edits, script outlines, and editorial frameworks for videos in post, ensuring narrative cohesion and alignment with project goals and brand expectations. Work directly with editors to guide the creative evolution of a piece, from first assembly and A-roll shaping through notes, revisions, finishing, and handoff. Serve as a day-to-day bridge between creative intent and post execution, communicating workflows and requirements with colorists, sound designers, motion graphics artists, assistant editors, online editors, and finishing vendors. Triage and respond to smaller post-production requests as part of the Creative Services pipeline, assessing scope, routing work appropriately, and ensuring fast, organized follow-through. Coordinate vendor outreach, holds, bookings, schedule confirmations, and day-to-day communication for post resources as needed. Support post-related meetings including kickoffs, edit reviews, stakeholder reviews, locks, mixes, color sessions, QCs, and delivery reviews; capture next steps and keep trackers current. Support the Post Supervisor in maintaining clear tracking in Jira and related project tools so statuses, owners, milestones, links, and delivery records remain current and usable for the broader team. Help coordinate file handoffs between production, post, vendors, and internal stakeholders using approved storage and review tools, with strong attention to organization, naming, and documentation. Support ingest, media organization, and archival workflows when needed, ensuring projects are properly wrapped with required deliverables, project files, and archival documentation. Partner with Studio Ops, IT, and post leadership on tooling, workflow, and equipment/software needs as they arise. Supervisory responsibilities: no reports. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in post-production, post coordination, assistant editing, editing, post producing, or related creative operations roles. Hands‑on experience supporting multiple concurrent video projects in a deadline‑driven post environment. Practical familiarity working with editors, finishing artists, vendors, or post houses on real‑world deliverables. Demonstrated ability to support both the organizational/logistical side of post and the creative/storytelling side of editorial development. Preferred: Experience in a studio, agency, network, production company, or in‑house brand/marketing post environment. Preferred Experience: Experience building or consulting on post schedules, tracking bandwidth, and coordinating post vendors. Experience creating treatments, paper edits, script outlines, storyboards, or creative briefs for video content. Familiarity with tools such as Frame.io and shared storage/media management systems. Editorial experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and basic motion graphics literacy in After Effects. Experience supporting marketing, branded content, product, social, or internal communications video. Competencies: Strong understanding of end-to-end post-production workflows, including ingest, editorial, turnovers, color, sound, motion graphics, QC, delivery, and archival. Strong story‑producing and editorial instincts, with the ability to translate transcripts, interviews, and rough material into a clear narrative structure and compelling cut direction. Ability to move fluidly between creative development and post operations, balancing storytelling, scheduling, resource coordination, and delivery execution. Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep stakeholders aligned under deadline pressure. Comfortable collaborating with editors, producers, and external vendors; able to communicate clearly with both creative and technical partners. Working knowledge of common video formats, codecs, frame rates, review workflows, and delivery requirements. Proficiency with Google Workspace and project tracking tools; Jira experience is a plus. Familiarity with Adobe post tools and proxy‑based editorial workflows; editorial and motion graphics experience are a plus. Calm, proactive, solutions‑oriented approach; able to spot risks early, triage requests, and keep work moving without sacrificing detail.
