CNC Lathe Programmer / Setup Machinist

This is a full-cycle role for a machinist who can take a job from print through first-piece approval — writing and proving out the program, not just running one someone else wrote. It's a good fit for someone who understands tooling, workholding, and feeds and speeds well enough to build a reliable, repeatable process on CNC turning work. Mill-turn, live tooling, or Y-axis experience is a plus. What you'll be doing Create, edit, and optimize CNC lathe programs Plan machining operations from engineering drawings and specifications Select tooling, inserts, workholding, feeds, and speeds Perform complete CNC lathe setups and set tooling and work offsets Safely prove out new and existing programs Complete first-piece inspections and make necessary corrections Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues Improve cycle times and process reliability Maintain accurate production and quality documentation Machines, controls and software CNC lathes, including mill-turn (lathe with milling) capability, running Fanuc and Haas controls with Mastercam CAM programming. What we're looking for Required: Previous CNC lathe programming and setup experience Ability to independently take a part from blueprint to production Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC turning processes Strong blueprint-reading and inspection skills Experience working with close tolerances Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and workholding Preferred: Experience with live tooling, sub-spindles, or Y-axis turning CAD/CAM programming experience (Mastercam) Pay, benefits and schedule Pay is up to $40 per hour, full-time.
