About the Role:
Longs Trailer Repair in Beaumont, TX is looking for a hardworking and dependable Shop Hand to join our team! This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of the trailer repair industry and grow your mechanical skills in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Assist technicians with trailer repair, maintenance, and inspection tasks
Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe at all times
Move and position trailers around the shop yard as needed
Retrieve tools, parts, and supplies to support repair operations
Dispose of waste materials and fluids in accordance with safety guidelines
Perform basic tasks such as grinding, and prepping trailers, bearing jobs, any repairs needed
Support team members to ensure efficient shop workflow
Requirements:
Prior shop, mechanical, or labor experience is a plus but not required
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment — lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
Ability to follow directions and work well within a team
Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment preferred
Valid driver's license
Must be able to work safely and follow all shop safety protocols

Longs Trailer Repair has been a trusted name in trailer repair and maintenance serving the Beaumont, TX area. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and keeping our customers' equipment road-ready. Our team enjoys a supportive work environment where hard work is recognized and there's always room to learn and grow. We train as we go to insure that you know how to do the task at hand properly. We do anything from small repairs like bearing jobs and lights all the way to complete over hauls. We do all trailers from little boat trailers and lowboys all the way up to semi trailers. Pay raises are all depending on performance and how fast you learn. We use many of tools from hand wrenched and impacts to torches and plasma cutters.
