Substance Abuse Counselor
Seeking full-time, permanent, direct hire placement located in the Grafton, Illinois area.
Overview: Provides counseling and support services to inmates aged 12-21, admitted or seeking admission to a correction center's treatment program.
Essential Duties:
- Completes intake assessments, treatment plans, post-release plans, and other required clinical documentation
- Provides individual and group counseling
- Provides case management and coordination of the youth's treatment
Salary Range: $47,000-62,000 depending on degree, licensing, and experience.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- BSW in Social Work
- CADC required within 2 years of employment start date
- Substance use training, experience with offender populations, experience with juveniles preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
