Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Onsite | Expected 36-48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Progressive Care Unit serving neurosurgery, general surgery, and trauma patient populations, including diagnoses such as intracranial hemorrhage, DKA, altered mental status, sepsis, cancer, and trauma
• Perform and manage advanced clinical skills including NG placement/care, tube feeds, TPN, BiPap, Airvo, wound vac care, dressing changes, chest tube management, and drain care
• Conduct strong neurological assessments and manage IV drips including amiodarone, dobutamine, heparin-based weight drips, Lasix, and insulin
• Float to same-level stepdown units as needed, with notification provided at the beginning of shift
• Document accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements (every 3rd weekend; every other holiday)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or compact nursing license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard contract rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting with neurosurgery or trauma patient populations
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitoring systems
• Experience managing complex drip medications and advanced airway support modalities
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a 5:1 patient ratio
