Work Environment\n

The successful candidate will work remotely from their own setting, allowing for flexibility and a comfortable work-life balance while engaging with patients through virtual sessions. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a structured work schedule. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs, gathering background information through interviews and assessments to inform treatment decisions.

• Diagnose mental health disorders in partnership with patients, setting clear goals and developing customized treatment plans that address specific needs related to trauma recovery.

• Engage in regular therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to assist patients in developing coping mechanisms, emotional regulation, and resilience in the face of trauma.

• Provide education on trauma and stress coping mechanisms to patients and their families, equipping them with knowledge to foster understanding and support.
\n
• Utilize clinical documentation systems, including EMR and Salesforce, to record patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate for effective case management.

• Regularly monitor and assess individual patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in their condition or therapeutic needs.

• Collaborate with various social and medical agencies and healthcare providers to coordinate services that support patient recovery and well-being, developing a network of resources for comprehensive care.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by completing continuing education courses to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification, while staying abreast of the latest best practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with patients who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to accidents, neglect, abuse, or loss. Many patients may also be struggling with co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Your ability to establish rapport, demonstrate empathy, and apply trauma-informed care principles will be essential in guiding them through their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.

• A valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is mandatory.

• At least three years of experience working directly with trauma patients or in a related mental health capacity is essential.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical for effective patient interaction and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
