Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to gather necessary client information and document cases from the initial consultation through the duration of treatment.

• Assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through clinical evaluations, including standard diagnostic interviews and psychometric tests.
\n
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and case managers, to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Actively follow up with hospitalized clients and their treatment teams to ensure continuity of care post-discharge.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and strategize interventions to mitigate these challenges effectively.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant examinations, including the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a depth of understanding of various therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or comparable platforms.

• Experience addressing complex mental health issues, including co-occurring substance use and other behavioral disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of pharmacological treatments for mental health conditions, and their potential interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
