About the role Each day, donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect becomes life‑changing medicine. A commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements. Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results. Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs, including coordinating donor transport to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical findings or guidance on donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health or ER, following EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats in the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduation from a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be performed: EMT‑Paramedic. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy in the state of licensure. Completion of FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
