Step into a meaningful contract opportunity working onsite with elementary students for the full 2026/27 school year. This full-time role welcomes both Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who are passionate about supporting student development in a school-based environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting highly preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based OT protocols and interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Meets all regulatory requirements for providing school-based services
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based occupational therapy services to elementary students in group and individual settings
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to create strategies that support student learning and success
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to achieve IEP goals
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary team sessions
