Job Details:

• Join a Behavioral Health team serving individual patients across the lifespan in Detroit Lakes, MN and surrounding communities
• Part-time or full-time position available with a Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm schedule with no evenings or weekends
• Practice will consist primarily of outpatient services with the possibility of a rotating schedule for inpatient and ED consults
• Pediatric experience and competence preferred, though not required
• Conduct health screenings and psychiatric evaluations
• Prescribe, monitor, manage, and evaluate psychopharmacological medications
• Provide integrated mental health services in general health settings
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurse practitioners, and support staff
• Seek consultation and refer patients to other providers when necessary
• Collaborate with other departments and specialties to effectively treat patients with complex medical needs and comorbid mental health concerns
• Utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Build rapport with patients while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
• MD degree with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry required
• ABPP certification preferred, though not required
• Child/adolescent certification preferred, though not required
• Successful completion of credentialing process required prior to practice
