Position Overview

AS Beauty is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Retail Sales to support the Retail Sales team across key national accounts. This individual will play a critical role in supporting day-to-day retail operations, driving sales growth through analytics and reporting, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal cross-functional teams and external retail partners. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Analytics

• Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales reports, including sell-in, sell-through, inventory, and productivity analysis.
• Analyze sales trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
• Maintain and update retail dashboards to track KPIs and performance metrics.
• Support the Director of Retail Sales with forecasting, planning, and promotional analysis.

Account & Operational Support

• Serve as the key point of contact for purchase order (PO) updates, tracking, and communication with retail partners.
• Coordinate order management processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
• Support portal entry management, including new item setup, pricing updates, promotional submissions, and assortment changes.
• Prepare and maintain line sheets and selling materials for new product launches and retailer presentations.
• Assist in retail launch planning and execution across key accounts.

Inventory & Forecasting

• Partner closely with the Director of Retail Sales and Supply Chain teams to support forecasting and inventory management.
• Monitor inventory levels and highlight potential risks or opportunities related to stock levels, replenishment, and sell-through trends.
• Assist in managing demand planning inputs for key retail accounts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product
• Development to ensure alignment on launches, promotions, and retail initiatives.
• Coordinate sample requests and manage sample send-outs for retail buyers and internal
• needs.
• Support preparation for buyer meetings, line reviews, and internal sales meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales support, retail coordination, or account management (beauty industry experience a plus).
• Experience working with national retail accounts such as Sephora, ULTA, or similar is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas, data analysis) and PowerPoint.
• Experience with retail portals and reporting systems is a plus.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
