Role Description The Facilities Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the maintenance, appearance, safety, and functionality of Ascension Episcopal School's three campuses: River Ranch [Preschool], Downtown [Lower & Middle School], and Sugar Mill Pond [Upper School]. This position ensures that every campus reflects the school's commitment to excellence by creating safe and well- maintained environments where students, faculty, staff, and families can thrive. Reporting to the CFO, the Facilities Manager leads the facilities team, oversees preventive maintenance and capital improvement projects, manages vendor relationships, and establishes systems that promote accountability, communication, and continuous improvement. This role requires a visible leader who builds a culture of ownership, pride, responsiveness, and service across all campuses. The Facilities Manager leads by example by maintaining a visible, hands-on presence across all three campuses, working alongside the facilities team while also providing strategic leadership, planning, communication, and accountability. This role is both an office and field-based position, requiring active participation in daily operations as needed, as well as oversight of long‑term projects and departmental priorities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent facilities management experience considered. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible facilities or operations leadership experience. Experience supervising maintenance personnel and outside contractors. Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and project management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with facilities management software or work-order systems; experience with FMX preferred. Commitment to servant leadership, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
