Operating Room Technician

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical practices, with proven experience in scrubbing for various surgical procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of surgical cases and collaborate with a supportive medical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols during surgeries.
• Support surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, demonstrating proficiency in handling instruments and equipment.
• Manage surgical instruments, ensuring they are properly sterilized and organized.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of practices and patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, specifically in scrubbing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Registered with the state of Washington at the time of application.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties, including ENT, GYN, Urology, Vascular, Plastic, Orthopedic, Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and General surgery.
• Proficiency with robot-assisted surgical systems, specifically DaVinci Xi.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide assistance as necessary.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including 4-10 hour shifts on weekdays. Call responsibilities will be required as scheduled by management.
