Remote Attorney

A nationally recognized defense litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, sophisticated litigation environment and is interested in handling complex, high-stakes defense matters. The role is fully remote and offers strong potential for long-term conversion. The firm is open to reviewing junior, mid-level, or senior candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a litigation caseload in defense matters, including complex product liability and related civil litigation
• Draft, review, and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and partners
• Handle discovery, including depositions, written discovery, and document review oversight
• Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with trial teams to support case development and courtroom readiness
• Maintain strong client communication and support a client-focused litigation approach

Qualifications:

• Active California Bar license
• Prior experience in litigation defense preferred, but not required
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a remote environment
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented litigation structure
