Tasting Room Sales Associate

Job Description:

Family-owned winery in the heart of Napa Valley is seeking a polished, sales-driven Tasting Room Sales Associate to guide our guests through an unforgettable hospitality experience while driving revenue for our estate.

As a Tasting Room Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is converting tastings into bottle sales, wine club memberships, and repeat customers — not simply pouring wine. We're looking for someone who thrives on hitting targets and knows how to turn genuine connection into closed sales.

What You'll Do:

•  Deliver unforgettable tasting experiences that drive wine sales and wine club signups.
•  Educate guests on our wine portfolio, vineyards, and winemaking philosophy to sell with confidence and authority.
•  Provide exceptional customer service to guests via all channels (in-person, phone, text/email) to nurture guest relationships.
•  Handle POS transactions with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.
•  Meet and exceed individual sales targets and contribute towards quarterly tasting room goals.
•  Maintain an elevated, detail-oriented tasting room environment befitting a luxury brand.
•  Assist with special events and other project as needed.

What We're Looking For:

•  2+ years of prior hospitality and wine sales; experience in a commission-based or target-driven sales role ideal
•  A natural closer — confident, personable, and comfortable asking for the sale.
•  Strong wine knowledge and/or passion about wine with …..
•  Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak season hours.
•  Professional presence suited to a luxury clientele.
•  Must be 21 years of age or older.
•  Able to lift up to 50 lbs (case of wine) regularly and remain standing for long periods of time.

•  Generous compensation package of $26-$33 per hour, with additional earning opportunities via credit card tips, bonus plans, and wine club sign-ups. Top performers have significant earning potential.
