Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Contract duration: 13 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,197–$2,291 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Shift: 3x12 days (OT over 40); weekends and holidays as needed, with floating between units
Setting: Hospital (Travel - Temporary Assignment)

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on Medical-Surgical and Labor & Delivery units; float between departments as census dictates
- Monitor maternal and fetal status; administer medications per protocol; assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; document care in the electronic health record; ensure patient safety and quality of care
- Respond to obstetric and medical emergencies; implement evidence-based care plans; educate patients and families
- Maintain infection prevention, safety standards, and regulatory compliance; perform accurate shift handoffs and care coordination

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state licensure as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in Medical-Surgical and Labor & Delivery environments; ability to float between units
- Nursing degree from an accredited program
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work weekends/holidays; able to work in a hospital setting
