Step into a rewarding role supporting students through a contract position as a Physical Therapist, covering a leave from October 16, 2026, to February 5, 2027. This opportunity focuses on working with elementary and middle school students, empowering them to achieve their physical and educational goals in a collaborative environment near Wappingers Falls, NY.
Enjoy a flexible schedule with three days a week, 8:30am to 3pm, allowing you to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.
Desired Experience & Requirements:
- Current PT license or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with IEP-mandated services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and reevaluations for students
- Proficiency in participating in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy sessions for students as defined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Complete comprehensive assessments for new and returning students
- Attend and contribute to CSE meetings to support educational planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and outcomes
- Collaborate closely with educational teams and families to optimize student achievement
