Here at Home Healthcare is a locally owned in-home care agency in Chesterfield. We compassionately support clients and their families at home across the St. Louis area, with companionship, personal care, and recovery support. We're looking for a Missouri-based accountant to take over our books on a contract basis.You'll work directly with our owners, and with our General Manager once that role is filled.What you'll doClose our books in QuickBooks Online each month, including bank and credit card reconciliationsPrepare a monthly profit and loss statement and walk the owners through itFollow up on client invoices and open balancesReview payroll in Gusto before each twice-monthly runCheck that our federal and Missouri payroll tax filings are complete and correctWhat you bring3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting for small businessesStrong QuickBooks Online skillsPayroll experience with Gusto or a similar platformMissouri residencyA clean criminal background (a background check is part of hiring)Nice to haveHome care or healthcare billing experienceA CPA or EA credentialExperience preparing S corporation returns (Form 1120-S)The detailsIndependent contractor (1099), about 10 to 15 hours a month to start$35 to $45 an hourRemote, Missouri-basedYou set your own schedule around agreed monthly deadlines
