Grades 5-8 Speech-Language Pathologist (Part-Time) McLean School, a K-12 co-educational independent school in Potomac, Maryland, seeks applicants for a part-time, 10-month, Grades 5-8 Speech-Language Pathologist position beginning in August 2026. McLean School has, for over 70 years, helped bright students realize their full potential by providing a comprehensive college-preparatory program that emphasizes smaller classes and differentiated instruction. Through our Abilities Model, we embrace both traditional learners and those with mild to moderate learning challenges. We recognize and teach to individual strengths, responding to areas of challenge, but never defining students by them. We are seeking an energetic and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will screen, evaluate, and provide appropriate services to students with communication disorders. In addition, the SLP will demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team so that all speech and language approaches and strategies are generalized in the classroom, and students’ goals are met. Areas of speech and language disorders include articulation, voice, fluency, and language elements: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Experience with reading instruction and literacy is highly recommended.
