Veterinary Technician - Urgent Care

Essential qualifications: At least 18 years of age at the time of hire At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience Understanding of and ability to properly, and safely, restrain animals Knowledgeable on veterinary medical terminology and medication A day in the life of an Urgent Care Veterinary Technician: Assists the Veterinarian in urgent medical and surgical cases. This includes: Preparing lab samples Interpreting cytology samples Interpreting urinalysis Running in‑house lab work Preparing samples for send out analysis to Antech Inducing, monitoring, and recover anesthetic patients Preparing cost estimates Filling prescriptions Client education Potential for Urgent Care/GP Hybrid schedule!
