Job Details

The firm is seeking an associate with approximately 3-6 years of patent litigation or closely related IP litigation experience. Candidates should be comfortable operating at the intersection of complex litigation and sophisticated technology, with a technical or scientific background strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex patent infringement and related intellectual property litigation
• Analyze infringement, non-infringement, validity, and damages issues
• Draft motions, briefs, discovery requests, claim construction materials, and substantive litigation filings
• Participate in fact and expert discovery and deposition preparation
• Work with technical experts to analyze patents, accused products, prior art, and technical evidence
• Support Markman proceedings, dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appellate matters
• Communicate directly with sophisticated clients regarding litigation strategy and case development

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of patent litigation or closely related IP litigation experience
• Meaningful experience handling substantive federal court litigation
• Strong legal research, analytical, and written advocacy skills
• Ability to understand complex technologies and technical evidence
• Technical or scientific degree strongly preferred, including engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, or physics
• California Bar admission or eligibility for admission
