A recent addition to the VBMC campus is the distinctively shaped Patient Pavilion featuring 294 private patient rooms, a 30-room intensive care unit, a network of 13 surgical suites, and 66 exam and treatment rooms in the emergency and trauma center. VBMC is part of Nuvance Health. This regional medical center is home to the area's first cardiothoracic surgery program located between Westchester County and Albany, NY. It also has the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit in the region.

Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia DepartmentResponsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical proceduresPre-anesthesia assessmentObtains and/or verifies patient consentDiscuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesiaMonitoring of the patient's physiological conditionPerformance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of MedicineECFMG and FLEXCompletion of approved residency in anesthesiaCurrently licensed as a physician
