• Position Summary

  Fripp Island Golf Club & Resort is seeking an experienced Bartender to deliver outstanding member and guest hospitality while executing approved cocktails and beverages consistently, operating an efficient bar and service well, practicing responsible alcohol service, and maintaining a fully stocked, clean, and ready station.

  Responsibilities

  Welcome members and guests and deliver attentive bar service.

  Prepare approved cocktails, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages exactly to established recipes and pours.

  Operate the bar and service well accurately and efficiently.

  Set up, stock, organize, clean, and close the assigned station.

  Use Toast accurately for orders, tabs, checks, member charges, and payments.

  Handle cash, credit-card transactions, checkout, and tip procedures according to policy.

  Follow responsible-alcohol-service, ID-verification, intoxication-monitoring, and refusal procedures.

  Maintain accurate beverage, food, allergen, and pricing knowledge.

  Report shortages, replenishment needs, spills, breakage, waste, and equipment concerns to management.

  Do not order products or change products, recipes, pours, pricing, or the beverage program.

  Work across trained bars, restaurant outlets, banquets, and events based on seasonal and business needs.

  Perform other reasonable duties related to the position, training, and operational needs.

  Qualifications

  Previous professional bartending experience is required.

  Strong hospitality, beverage knowledge, speed, organization, communication, and guest-recovery skills.

  Demonstrated ability to execute standardized cocktail recipes and responsible pours accurately.

  Experience with restaurant POS, cash, checks, tabs, and credit-card procedures; Toast experience is preferred.

  Approved alcohol-service certification required within 90 days of hire.

  Ability to work calmly and accurately in a high-volume environment.

  No degree requirement and no fixed minimum number of years beyond demonstrated relevant experience.

  Schedule Expectations

  Hourly, non-exempt, tipped position; full-time, part-time, or seasonal schedules may be available based on assignment.

  Availability may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, peak seasonal periods, banquets, and special events.

  Work location and schedule may change based on bar, outlet, event, and resort needs.

  Physical Requirements

  Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, shaking, pouring, and repetitive bar activity.

  Ability to work safely around glass, ice, wet floors, chemicals, bar equipment, crowded service areas, and outdoor venues.

  Ability to lift and move customary beverage cases, kegs with assistance and approved equipment, glass racks, ice, and supplies safely.
